Bill Prescott Helps Develop Strategic Plan to Transform Jacksonville Park
The Friends of James Weldon Johnson Park (FJWJP), the nonprofit organization that manages Jacksonville's first and most historic public park, recently announced the completion of a three-year plan to transform the park into a dynamic space for the community. Bill Prescott, principal at Heritage Capital Group and FJWJP board member, was one of the community members who collaborated with DeAnn Dockery and Jana Ertrachter to develop the strategic plan.
The anticipated growth in Downtown Jacksonville will increase demand for public events and green spaces. The organization's leaders will guide the park's development from August 2022 through August 2025. The goals for the coming months will be to build on the strategic plan, solicit public feedback, and work toward the strategic committee's ideas.
