Heritage Capital Group Welcomes Daren B. Pietsch as Principal
Heritage Capital Group is pleased to announce that Daren B. Pietsch has joined the firm as principal. Daren’s focus will be on advising clients on merger and acquisition transactions.
Daren has nearly 30 years of corporate experience and has held key leadership positions in business development, product development, engineering, manufacturing/operations, and project management with multinational companies including Hilti Group, Rayonier, and Georgia-Pacific. Daren also served 11 years in the United States Coast Guard, both on active and reserve duty from 1986 to 1996. He was trained as a ship navigator, and, for his final active duty assignment, was selected as the Liaison Officer for the 1996 Olympic yachting events in Savannah.
Most recently, Daren served as president of PaR Marine in Brunswick, Georgia and just prior to that lived in the UK, leading Marine Systems Technology which was acquired by PaR in 2012. PaR Marine is a PaR Systems business unit and includes the companies Jered LLC (Brunswick), PaR Marine Services (Norfolk, Virginia and San Diego, California), and Marine Systems Technology (Winsford, England). PaR Marine's companies design, manufacture, and service many products and systems primarily for naval ships and specifically have designed and manufactured the aircraft elevators, steering gear, and anchor windlasses for all of the US aircraft carriers, the most powerful defense platform in the world. PaR Systems was owned by the private equity firm MML Capital Partners of London and was acquired from MML by The Pohlad Companies late last year.
Daren serves on the World Trade Center Savannah Board of Directors, as a Trustee for the College of Coastal Georgia Foundation, and on the Georgia Tech Government & Community Relations Steering Committee. He is also an alumnus of Leadership Glynn, a community leadership program sponsored by the Brunswick Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce. He earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Daren went on to complete his postgraduate education in England and holds degrees in finance/financial law and strategy from University of London and University of Oxford, respectively. He is married to Angie Pietsch and their daughter is Caroline.
