Heritage Capital Group Welcomes Frank DiFilippo
Heritage Capital Group is pleased to announce that Frank DiFilippo has joined the firm as a principal. Frank’s primary focus is M&A advisory as well as strategic consulting, including strategic planning and exit planning.
Frank has more than 15 years of professional experience, with over eight years in corporate finance with a Fortune 50 company. Prior to joining Heritage, Frank spent over eight years with Johnson & Johnson (J&J) in numerous corporate finance roles partnering with senior leadership across J&J’s Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, and Corporate sectors.
Most recently, he led all financial and strategic evaluations for the Medical Devices Business Development team on Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures for J&J’s Medical Devices Business (>$25B revenue) across a broad spectrum of categories, including Orthopedics, Surgery, Digital Surgery, Cardiovascular and Vision. During this role, he worked on deals ranging from start-up companies to larger mid-cap companies in the Medical Devices market. He has completed deals in the Orthopedics Trauma and Spine spaces. Additionally, he closed the sale and divestiture of the Advanced Sterilization Products business in 2019.
Prior to J&J, Frank served as a helicopter pilot and Lieutenant in the US Navy. Frank graduated from the US Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics and earned an MBA from the University of Florida. Frank is also a Certified Management Accountant.
Frank and his family are excited to return to the Jacksonville area, where he was stationed during part of his service in the US Navy. Frank is married to Stacy DiFilippo, and they have two children, Caden and Hadley.
"I'm excited to join Heritage given their extensive experience in investment banking. I am looking to leverage my experience in M&A and corporate finance, and Heritage is an excellent match given their expertise in mid-market M&A advisory. After meeting with Don Wiggins and the rest of the Heritage team, it was clear to me the caliber of the individuals on the Heritage team," mentioned Frank. "I'm excited to get started with Heritage and am confident my unique perspective in healthcare with a Fortune 50 company will provide value to private companies."
Frank will be the newest addition to Heritage’s healthcare team. Heritage has a strong presence across Northeast Florida's healthcare market. The healthcare team either currently holds or has held leadership roles with premier healthcare institutions, including Howard Serkin (Brooks Rehabilitation and Baptist Health - Beaches), Dan Edelman (UF Health Proton Therapy), and Charlie Tomm (Mayo Clinic Trustee and Chair of Audit & Compliance Committee). With Frank’s deep and broad experience with Johnson & Johnson in Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, and Med Tech, Heritage Capital Group is uniquely positioned in the healthcare industry.
