Melissa Lockhart Joins Learn to Read Board of Directors

MARCH 2016 - Melissa Ann Lockhart has been elected to join the Board of Directors of Learn to Read Jacksonville.  Melissa has provided business valuation and complex commercial damages analysis at Business Valuation, Inc. since 2006.  Her recent experience includes projects involving class actions, intellectual property valuation, and valuations with and without personal goodwill.  Melissa’s extensive experience also includes assignments with BVI’s sister company, Heritage Capital Group, doing analysis for mergers and acquisitions and management planning. She is a CPA Accredited in Business Valuation by the American Institute of CPAs.

Learn to Read Jacksonville is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving adult literacy in Duval County. Since 1969, Learn to Read Jacksonville has served adults 16 years of age or older in Northeast Florida who want to improve reading skills or learn to read. Relying almost entirely on volunteers and operating primarily on community and grant funding, Learn to Read Jacksonville is a grassroots, 501(C)3 organization with accreditation from ProLiteracy and memberships with the Literacy Council of Jacksonville, the Florida Literacy Coalition, the Jacksonville Community Council, Inc., the Nonprofit Center and others. Through community support, Learn to Read provides literacy tutoring, free of charge, to over 500 students each year.
